SCHOOL TIME!

hahaha... yeah, I watched a little too much Home Improvement growing up :)

Anyway! It's that time again! As I told ya'll when I got back from Ky... I will be starting school TOMORROW! Wish me luck on my first day as an LPN student. :) I'm trying to do some reading up on the chapter I *think* I'm starting tomorrow. I hope I'm right and I really am getting a head start. Of course I'll let you all know tomorrow! I'm a little bit excited, and a little bit nervous because it's going to be a change getting back into the groove of the whole school thing again. I'm also not looking forward to long days! I have to go to school M-F from 8-2:30! Yuck! It's like being in High School all over again..... Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do!

As ya'll are thinking about me tomorrow and saying a little prayer that all works out well... please say a little prayer for Ed's grandma as well. She is back in the hospital for some spine issues and will be having surgery tomorrow, as well as having some testing done on a "spot" on her vertebrae.... I'm hoping this surgery helps. She has been in a lot of pain lately.

I {heart} giveaways!

I found a new way cool blog to visit with lots of great giveaways!!!!! Lauren Nicole Gifts is a great blog all on it's own... but what makes it even better is the awesome giveaways she does! I'm so sad that I just found her and missed the last two! I would have loved to have had either of these... but especially the Pink and Green Lilly Wallet! You can bet I will be checking into her blog often to see what else she is giving away! Not to mention the funny things her husband is up to lately (like keeping car parts in the flower bed...) and her cute little puppy dogs that line up in a row and take turns eating! How cute is that!?!?!?

Oh, and in addition to giving away other people's products, she also sells her own monogrammed gifts! Really cute things such as tote bags, towels, cups, keychains, and these way cool stamped initial necklaces like this one... 

Friday Funny - Say No to Crack!

Last week I was introducing my mom to blogger and showing her the ropes and stuff.... so I was scrolling through all of my previous posts and all of the sudden this picture (click here if you over the age of 15 and are curious.... im not going to upload it, because I was terrified to see it in the first place, and can't bare to have something so inappropriate on MY blog! lol) Apparently... my "direct link" to a web based picture of my crackberry had changed to a different kind of "crack" without my knowledge. It appeared normal on Google images until you went to "see full size image" and then you were in for a big surprise! Not that I didn't get a laugh out of it, but WOW talk about a shock! I can't even begin to explain the look on my mom and I's faces when that popped up. Did anyone else notice this before and not tell me???? This experience was just too funny not to share...

Lesson learned - do not use direct web links to photos... save them to your pc and upload them to avoid a shock like this! 

P.S. In case you were wondering... I have changed the picture on that post. It is now G rated once again.

Wordless Wednesday

Home again, home again, jiggity jog....

Yup, that's right.... I'm back. I'm not happy about it either! The weather down here is disgusting! On the bright side... I had a GREAT time in Kentucky! I got to spend a lot of time with my awesome family, attended an awesome wedding, and brought home AWESOME memories. My time up there was short, but we sure did cram a lot into it!!! We flew in on Friday morning, had lunch at my favorite Kentucky restaurant (Rafferty's), my mom and I immediately ran off to get our hair cut by this crazy lady that talks too much, and then came home to share one bathroom with 6 people and get ready for the rehearsal dinner! Saturday morning my mom got up early to go help my aunt set up, and I got up and started early on bridal party duties! First stop, a spiffy little poofy updo! Then we were off to get purty and take photos! The photography journey took us on a short little hike in 3 inch heels to the golf course where we sweated our butts off, almost got hit with golf balls, got hollered at, and jumped fences. The trip ended with some really, really, sore feet hours before the ceremony even started, but her photographer got some AMAZING photos! Check out the sneak peak! The ceremony was beautiful, the food was great, and the reception was tons of fun!!!! Sunday was a day of rest and more family fun. We had a BBQ at my grandparents house and some more family members came over... and on Monday we went to the National Corvette Museum so Ed could drool over some hot lookin' cars that we will never own, lol.... While we were there, I got a pretty exciting phone call that led to my adventures today!!! (I'll get to that in a min...) After all that, we headed on down to Nashville to catch our flight home to nasty, muggy, rainy, gross Ft. Lauderdale. 

I don't have many pictures to share just yet because my Step-dad took tons and tons, but they are still up in Ky on his computer.... and I am not there. I do have some to share though, and I'll have more next week.

OH! So... that phone call? It was from the director of the Practical Nursing Department at McFatter Tech to ask me if I was still interested in an open spot in their program! You guessed it... I said yes!!! Today I went over there and picked up my acceptance letter, paid for my classes, and got my books and ugly uniforms. No really, they are pretty ugly.... white pants, teal scrub tops with a collar, ew! Whatever... I'm not out there to impress anyone, I just want to be a nurse! Classes start June 8th, so it's time to crack them books again!!!!!!!
